Just for anyone who has been on the moon today.

A robust performance by LI, in which I actually lost count of the line outs we stole! (I don't think we lost any!)

KEY FACTS

Riki had left his goal-kicking boots at home again.

Our defence was excellent.

We chased like hell throughout, and harried Bath into many errors. The others they committed without any help at all!

When Mr Coetzee came on, our scrum looked twice as powerful. The lad can play a bit, and then some.

Before anyone thinks we played a Bath pack bereft of talent, I might mention that their front row of Duncan Bell, Pieter Dixon and Dave Barnes isn't exactly a kindergarten selection, and that Fidler and Hudson are locks who could get a game with many Premiership sides. The Bath back row was at full strength, too. We in our turn were missing Leguimazon and Magne to International call up, and Franze and (presumably) Dawson to injury.

A pretty good performance and an even better result.

Champagne all round, Smithy!
