I think you might have to settle for fourth behind 6 year old Zac, 8 year old Lucas and Tom  .

Currently in the pool, Zac zooms away in 1st with Lucas lighting up 3rd. Tom charges fourth and Patrick takes the 5th with yours truly dominating 6th. PaulHP looks saucey in 8th, while James needs a LIe down in 12th and the donkeyboy looks a little lame in 13th.

Don't forget your predictions for this weekend ... I'm predicting lots of London Irish players scoring tries in Reading and Rome.

Wot a stitch-up!! How come Al and I are joint 13th and that dreadful Rice bloke is on 12th when he's got exactly the same number of points as us? Money has clearly changed hands.

Money could change hands if people are that way inclined, but I can't promise it'll help. Paypal will do :D .

How are ties broken in the rankings?
In the event that two players have the same total score, they are ranked then on higher Win Point (WP) total. If their Win Point total is tied, then they are ranked on higher Margin Point (MP) total. If they are still tied, they are ranked on on lower Total Distance from Margin (TDM).

Your TDM was 28 while James' was 26. TDM being the sum total of how far out you were with your predictions.

"Zac zooms away in 1st with Lucas lighting up 3rd. Tom charges fourth"

Is this evidence that not everything improves with age?

The question is however, do the youngsters have the staying power of us oldies?

Peter,

I could take offence with your comment, but I haven't decided yet :|

Just biding my time for the long slog.....of getting it all wrong again.

Trouble is that these 'know it all' kids have no sense of history for the 5, sorry 6, nations and wouldn't even know that a try was only worth 1 point once upon a very long time ago!!!!
.....not when I played, it was worth 3 points then.

Still, I suspose the new order has to take over at some point BUT not when they are still in nappies.

and neither will Wales or France, so where does that leave us?

In the real competition, Zac is still out ahead in 1st, with myself in 4th, PaulHP, Patrick, Tom and Lucas are 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th, and Peter and James are locked in a relegation battle in 13th and 14th.

I've heard* a nasty rumour that PaulHP backed Scotland to beat Ireland in this prediction competition, which I find quite shocking!
